Summary:
The main function of a system validation engineer is to coordinate validation efforts for multiple features relating to various vehicle systems and technologies.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage hardware-in-the-loop simulators (dSPACE, etc.) to support customers' automated driving control code development and validation objectives
Design, create, and integrate wiring and power harnesses in support of hardware-in-the-loop simulators and ECUs under test
Identify, procure, and integrate vehicle hardware into hardware-in-the-loop simulators (dSPACE, Etc.)
Work with dSPACE software packages (EthCT, ASM, vehicle dynamics, AURELION, etc.) to create simulation solutions with our hardware-in-the-loop simulators.
Use instrumentation (ETAS INCA, Vehicle SPY, etc.) to integrate and validate our simulation infrastructure on our hardware-in-the-loop simulators.
Create & integrate models, software and hardware into our simulation infrastructure
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues with hardware-in-the-loop simulators
Design, create, and integrate solutions for hardware-in-the-loop simulators to support customers' automated driving control code development and validation objectives
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree ideally in Engineering or Science field or related field required.
At least 8 years experience (definitely not looking for someone with 3 years, candidates need to have experience)
Top Skills:
dSPACE experience - should be at least 4 years
Find someone that already has active safety experience (ADAS) is a bonus, not required
Someone that has ADAS hill experience
ASM - automotive simulation modules
Aurelion - software suite with dSPACE for sensor simulation (camera, radar)
Additional Info:
Location is Milford, MI
Position is onsite 5 days a week
Contract length is 5 months till end of 2026.
