Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience working in consumer product development, specifically focusing on product creation and validation.
  • Experience in Python and general scripting.
  • Experience creating tools for hardware debugging.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).
  • Experience in bench electrical validation, including triage, bring-up, Design of Experiments (DOE) derivation, and statistical analysis to track regressions and improvements.
  • Experience in cross-functional alignment across Silicon, Software, Electrical Engineering (EE), and Product Design (PD) teams to bridge technical gaps and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Understanding of consumer electronics analog and digital circuitry, including PMU, SOC, Sensors, Audio, Display/Touch, RF subsystems, and Camera, alongside lab equipment and signal characterization.

In this role, you will ensure seamless performance between Radio Frequency (RF) and other subsystems within fully integrated systems.The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional System Coexistence Engineering Requirements Specification (ERS) initiatives, spearheading collaboration and alignment across engineering partners.
  • Design and oversee comprehensive test methodologies, plans, and execution for all Pixel product subsystems throughout the TD, NTI, and NPI phases.
  • Drive test efficiency and coverage by developing test instruments, infrastructure, and specialized validation software.
  • Architect advanced validation solutions and custom test scripts to automate and optimize System Coexistence testing workflows.
  • Direct problem triage and root-cause analysis for coexistence issues, ensuring project success through technical leadership.
