Description

Secret Clearance Required This role requires an active Secret clearance. Falsely claiming to hold a federal security clearance is a violation of federal law and subject to criminal prosecution. All clearances will be verified before any offer is extended.The Systems Administrator, Mid administers enterprise systems hosting applications and services that support mission‑critical operations, balancing day‑to‑day support with small design and improvement projects. The role focuses on server builds, maintenance, virtualization, troubleshooting, and security controls in a secure federal environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage Windows or Linux server environments, including system builds, patching, performance tuning, and backup operations.Troubleshoot end‑to‑end issues involving operating systems, network connectivity, and application dependencies using logs and monitoring tools.Maintain virtualization platforms, including virtual machine provisioning, resource allocation, and template management.Use scripting or automation tools to streamline routine administration tasks and configuration changes.Implement and monitor security controls such as hardening baselines, access controls, and audit logging.Act as an escalation point for complex incidents and participate in upgrades, new deployments, and automation initiatives.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Typically 4–7 years of systems administration experience in enterprise or government settings.Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux servers, virtualization platforms, monitoring, and backup technologies.Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience contributing to infrastructure design or modernization efforts such as new clusters, storage integrations, or cloud extensions.Background mentoring junior administrators and participating in on‑call rotations.
