Job Summary
As the Systems Administrator, you will oversee the management and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support the organization’s daily operations. This role is primarily focused on systems administration, infrastructure support, endpoint management, and maintaining reliable day-to-day IT operations while working collaboratively with internal teams and third-party vendors. Responsibilities include managing servers and infrastructure systems, implementing security measures, troubleshooting issues, and helping optimize IT resources and processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to maintaining a reliable and secure IT environment while embodying our core values of “Confident, Committed, Compassionate, Innovative, and One”. Responsibilities
- Support and maintain IT infrastructure systems, including servers, network equipment, wireless infrastructure, firewalls, and VoIP systems.
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure for the organization.
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and implement fixes.
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Assist the Business Systems Manager with scripting, automation, and process improvement initiatives as needed to increase system efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- Implement and manage security tools, policies, and procedures to ensure the protection of the company's information systems.
- Handle system upgrades and migrations.
- Perform security monitoring and assist with vulnerability remediation and incident response activities.
- Provide user administration, serve as the escalation point for advanced technical issues, and provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 desktop support coverage as needed.
- Design, implement, and manage Active Directory, NTFS security, and Group Policy.

Requirements
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure support, or a similar IT role.
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Windows operating systems and platforms.
- Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security.
- Experience with Veeam Backup and Replication or similar backup solutions.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, hardware, and systems administration best practices.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation concepts (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and practical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as Microsoft, Azure, CompTIA, VMware, or cybersecurity-related certifications are a plus.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with IT monitoring systems.
- Experience with database management and administration.
Physical Requirements
- Level 1: Sedentary work.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional walking and/or standing on uneven and/or unimproved surfaces.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
- Occasional travel to remote sites (<4%).
