IDR is seeking a Systems Administrator (HP NonStop) to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Louisville, Kentucky. This role involves managing and optimizing mission-critical HP NonStop systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security within a fast-paced environment supporting global gift card and stored-value programs.
Position Overview for the Systems Administrator (HP NonStop):
- Administer and support HP NonStop (Tandem) servers in production and development environments.
- Monitor system performance and availability; perform proactive maintenance.
- Apply operating system patches and software updates.
- Handle incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery procedures.
Requirements for the Systems Administrator (HP NonStop):
- 5+ years of experience administering HP NonStop (Tandem) systems.
- Strong knowledge of HP NonStop OS, Guardian, OSS, and utilities (e.g., FUP, SCF, TACL).
- Experience with system monitoring tools and job scheduling (e.g., NetBatch, AutoSys).
- Familiarity with security hardening, compliance, and audit procedures on NonStop.
- Strong scripting skills (TACL, SQLCI, Perl, or Shell scripting preferred).
