Job Description:

Systems Administrator II

Location: Colorado Springs, CO (Partial Remote)

Role Overview

This position is for a Systems Administrator to provide Tier-III IT services and support with considerable independence and initiative. This role focuses on building print objects, maintaining print servers, and working with various teams and vendors to ensure correct configuration. The role also involves developing procedures, troubleshooting advanced issues, and performing solution design and engineering work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build print objects, maintain print servers, and collaborate with departments and vendors for proper configuration.
  • Manage Active Directory and Group Policy in a mixed Windows environment, troubleshooting GPO, replication, security, and permissions issues.
  • Provide support and administration for a hybrid Office 365 Exchange environment, including directory replication to cloud assets.
  • Review system logs and alerts, responding according to documented procedures, and support network backup, recovery, and archiving activities.
  • Conduct desk-side support to resolve customer tickets, installing and troubleshooting a variety of software packages in a Microsoft Windows environment with some iOS devices.
  • Develop and promote standard operating procedures and contribute to the Knowledge Management System (KMS).
  • Communicate progress, status, and issues to customers and management, ensuring actions meet or exceed operational Service Level Agreements (SLA).

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a related area of study is required. One year of relevant work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.

Experience: Three years of full-time, professional experience in a related field is required. One year of relevant academic coursework beyond the minimum requirement may be substituted for one year of required professional experience.

Technical Skills: Experience with VMWare, NetApp, remote connectivity tools, Active Directory tools, and Windows Server management is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is also necessary.
