Systems Administrator III - Intune Experience

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Clearance: Public Trust

Job Summary

This role is not a traditional, siloed service desk position. We are actively seeking a candidate who is proficient in troubleshooting and resolving issues within Microsoft Intune-managed environments. The candidate will also operate effectively across desktop support, endpoint management, security compliance, and network-related challenges. You will be expected to manage problems end-to-end while balancing user experience, security requirements, and operational efficiency. This role supports a secure, enterprise-scale environment with federally regulated compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve Intune-related issues, including device configuration, policy application, compliance failures, and software deployment.
  • Provide hands-on desktop support in an enterprise environment, including OS, hardware, and user-facing issues.
  • Diagnose and address network connectivity issues, such as access restrictions, firewall rules, DNS, VPN, and IP/Port/URL filtering.
  • Navigate and resolve security and compliance-related challenges, including endpoint hardening, policy enforcement, and audit readiness.
  • Operate effectively across multiple functions, including endpoint management, support, security, and asset management, without reliance on rigid team boundaries.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or a relevant field and 3 years of practical experience in the field.
  • Ability to obtain public trust clearance.
  • Ability to self-manage work tasks using M365-based tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently resolve issues, improve day-to-day operations with self-driven initiatives, and operate with a growth mindset.
  • Hands-on experience administering or operating network access controls in the form of IP:Port or URL-based filters.
  • Practical experience managing enterprise desktops within a Microsoft Intune-managed environment.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and administering Windows operating systems in an enterprise environment, ideally including peripheral device management, asset management, and VOIP operations.
  • Understanding and practical exposure to regulatory controls, baselines, and security policies within an Azure Entra and Intune-based environment with enterprise desktops and endpoints (CIS benchmarks, STIG, etc.).
  • Located near Indianapolis, IN, and willingness to be on-site in support of the mission.
