As we scale, we are investing in systems, infrastructure, and process discipline to support growth while maintaining a strong, operator-driven culture.Role OverviewThis is S&K's dedicated, in-house technology hire and effectively the owner of our IT and systems function. It blends hands-on system administration with the ownership and judgment needed to bring structure to a multi-branch platform that grew through acquisition. It is designed for someone who is technically hands-on across Microsoft 365, Azure, and identity and access management, but who wants to grow into broader technology leadership.This position owns day-to-day IT operations, system administration, security hygiene, and vendor coordination while standardizing, documenting, and securing the environment. The goal is to make the business easier to run, easier to scale, and harder to break, ensuring systems, data, and access are reliable and well-controlled across a growing, multi-location platform.Core ResponsibilitiesOwn day-to-day Microsoft 365 and SharePoint administration, and establish SharePoint as the single source of truth for documentation and SOPsAdminister identity and access: enforce least-privilege and MFA, standardize provisioning, and clean up legacy admin accessBuild and run internal IT support (ticketing, Tier 1, etc.) to reduce reliance on outside vendorsMaintain a master inventory of software, licenses, vendors, and hardware, and standardize endpoints with consistent security and update controlsStabilize, secure, and document the Azure SQL and Power BI reporting environment, tightening workspace access and keeping refreshes reliableStandardize onboarding and offboarding so access is provisioned and removed promptlyStrengthen credential hygiene: eliminate shared logins, centralize credentials in an approved password manager, and rotate inherited admin credentialsAutomate repetitive, rules-based workflows in partnership with Finance, HR, and SalesBuild and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and checklistsDevelop a repeatable M&A technology playbook covering data migration, system cutovers, user access, hardware, email/domain transitions, reporting, and day-one securityTreat security as a baseline: run periodic access reviews, maintain an incident response plan, and bake security into every new system decisionWhat This Means at S&KOwns the technology function end-to-end as S&K's dedicated IT hireBridges hands-on system administration and systems strategyWorks visibly across Finance, Operations, HR, Customer Success, and SalesGains exposure to multi-location systems, standardization, and M&A integrationHas a clear path toward broader leadership as the company growsRequired Qualifications5+ years in systems administration or IT operations, ideally as sole owner of an environmentHands-on administration of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint (Exchange Online, Teams, permissions, security and compliance)Identity and access management (Entra ID / Azure AD), MFA, and least-privilege provisioningEndpoint and device management, asset inventory, and standardization experienceTrack record of standing up ticketing, documentation, and IT processes from scratchSelf-directed; sets priorities and drives work forward with limited oversightExperience managing vendors and external MSPsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience in a services-based, field services, or facilities services businessExperience in an acquisition-driven environment, including systems integration and M&A ITFamiliarity with Azure SQL and Power BI administrationVOIP administration experience (3cx & Sangoma or comparable)Experience building automation for repetitive workflows (Power Automate or similar)Relevant certifications (Microsoft 365 / Azure, CompTIA Security+, ITIL) a plusWhy This Role MattersThis role is critical to S&K's ability to scale responsibly.
