QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution; or equivalent combination of technical training, certifications, and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in systems administration, information systems, computer science, or related technical disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting operating systems and enterprise applications within centralized and distributed server environments.


Technical Skills

  • Administration and support of Windows and Linux operating systems.
    Experience administering and supporting containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker, including container deployment, orchestration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience managing and maintaining VMware ESXi and vSphere environments.
  • Experience with vulnerability management.
  • Server deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
    Professional experience applying AI tools and technologies.
  • Experience working in a datacenter.
  • LAN/WAN networking concepts and infrastructure support.
    User account management, access controls, and enterprise authentication systems.
    Hardware deployment, datacenter operations, and structured cabling.
    Cybersecurity concepts, best practices, and compliance requirements.
    Technical documentation and process development.


Additional Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with Special Access.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD IAM Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+) within six months of hire.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as a team member, and as a small team leader.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Asset Lifecycle Management

  • Deploy, maintain, upgrade, and decommission organizational IT hardware and software assets.
  • Install, configure, and support Windows and Linux workstations, servers, and peripheral devices.
  • Troubleshoot datacenter hardware, UPS systems, and structured cabling infrastructure.
  • Design and implement new datacenter capabilities to support expansion and reconfiguration projects.
  • Coordinate with external organizations and vendors responsible for enterprise infrastructure components.
  • Support IT asset procurement activities by defining technical requirements and recommending hardware, software, and process improvements.


Systems and Network Administration

  • Deploy, administer, and maintain classified remote access networks.
  • Monitor LAN/WAN environments, server infrastructure, and network performance to ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Design and implement network enhancements to support growth and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute system upgrades while managing transitions through development, testing, production, and documentation phases.
  • Create, modify, and decommission user accounts while managing permissions, access controls, and authentication services.
  • Provide end-user support including password resets, email configuration, network share access, and account troubleshooting.
  • Manage enterprise access control processes utilizing IAO Express and related security systems.


Compliance and Documentation

  • Conduct routine inventories of hardware and software assets to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system configurations.
  • Ensure adherence to cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.


Technical Support

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and provide preventative maintenance for audio-visual systems in both classified and unclassified meeting spaces.
  • Manage IT support requests through the helpdesk ticketing system from intake through resolution.
  • Address end-user technical issues and provide exceptional customer support.


Security and Logistics

  • Provide escort duties for personnel requiring access to secure facilities and controlled areas.
  • Support information assurance and security initiatives across the organization.
  • Maintain compliance with all security clearance and classified environment requirements.

SALARY

This role offers a salary range of $97,000–$130,000 for Level IV and $120,000–$172,000 for Level V.
