    Position Summary

    Reporting to the IT Manager (US), the Systems Administrator will help develop, maintain, and secure IPG Photonics' global infrastructure. This role supports critical business systems and services in a dynamic, high-tech manufacturing environment while ensuring reliability, security, and compliance with business objectives and service-level agreements (SLAs).

    Strategy & Planning

    • Create and maintain system configuration and troubleshooting documentation.
    • Review policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
    • Proactively monitor, test, and optimize application performance while identifying opportunities for improvement.

    Operational Responsibilities

    • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 IT support and participate in the on-call rotation.
    • Lead vulnerability remediation and scheduled patch management activities.
    • Manage, triage, and resolve IT tickets while contributing to SLA performance metrics.
    • Install, upgrade, configure, and maintain infrastructure systems and hardware.
    • Support workstation hardware, software, and peripheral deployment and troubleshooting.
    • Participate in outage and incident-response bridge calls.
    • Administer Active Directory, Entra ID, Azure, Citrix, Microsoft 365, Nutanix, VMware, Veeam, Intune, MFA, and related infrastructure services.
    • Administer Azure and AWS environments, including licensing, deployment, and connectivity.
    • Maintain and support email security and spam-filtering systems.
    • Monitor infrastructure and business applications and proactively resolve issues.
    • Ensure infrastructure security, compliance, and data integrity standards are maintained.
    • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues.
    • Perform system and service migrations for branch locations.

    Project Management

    • Execute assigned project tasks and meet established timelines.
    • Provide weekly project status updates.
    • Identify and remove roadblocks before they affect schedules or deliverables.
