Role: Systems Administrator

Job description:

HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE:

  1. 8 years of experience identifying hardware and software needs for users and creating proposals for the procurement.
  2. 8 years of experience in systems administration with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
  3. 8 years of experience with troubleshooting computer hardware, software, and network issues.

CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM EXPERIENCE:

  1. 8 years of experience using a content management system for website development. Must have a strong understanding of html concepts and coding standards.
  2. 8 years of experience setting up, maintaining, and supporting SharePoint sites.

VIDEO CONFERENCING EXPERIENCE:

  1. 8 years of experience supporting Tandberg video conferencing equipment.
  2. 8 years of experience supporting and utilizing TEAMS, Skype, or webinar tools.

TRAINING AND DOCUMENTATION EXPERIENCE:

  1. 8 years of experience creating training documentation and performing training sessions for staff.
  2. 8 years of experience in meeting facilitation.

MISCELLANEOUS EXPERIENCE:

  1. 8 years of customer service experience.
  2. 8 years of government or health industry information technology experience.

CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

TECHNICAL SUPPORT:

  1. Manage user permissions and resetting passwords in the Active Directory as directed in the assigned support ticket, following the guidelines specified in the Department’s DEPCS  Desktop Support Standards document. Document findings in the support ticket.
  2. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues as directed in the assigned support ticket. Document findings in the support ticket.
  3. Troubleshoot printer and scan servers as directed in the assigned support ticket. Document findings in the support ticket.
  4. Image machines, new and used, for use by employees as directed in the assigned support ticket, following the guidelines specified in the DEPCS Desktop Support Standards document.
  5. This includes the sanitization of hard drives and the installation of software, drivers, and peripherals. Document findings in the support ticket.
  6. Create and update group policy as directed in the assigned support ticket.
  7. Document findings in the support ticket.
  8. Manage computer inventory in the Asset Management System (AMS) as directed in the assigned support ticket following the guidelines specified in the DEPCS Desktop Support Standards document.
  9. Document findings in the support ticket.
  10. Research new technologies, methodologies, protocols, or procedures as directed in the assigned support ticket.
  11. Document findings in the support ticket.

WEB DEVELOPMENT:

  • Update Internet and Intranet web pages as directed in the assigned support ticket. Document findings in the support ticket.

VIDEO CONFERENCING:

  • Support audio and visual needs of staff when holding teleconferences, webinars, and face-to-face meetings as directed in the assigned support ticket.
