Job Description Summary:
The George Washington University Libraries and Academic Innovation (GWLAI) enrich the academic experience of scholars and students and sparks innovation at GW. We enable research and teaching through access to the latest scholarship and rich archival resources, tailored support for researchers at all levels, guidance for faculty who want to explore new teaching methods and technologies in the classroom, and robust support for online education. GWLAI is seeking a collaborative and service-oriented Systems Administrator to join the Scholarly Technology Group (STG). STG is a highly collaborative unit where staff and librarians work together to meet student, faculty, and researcher needs across disciplines. As an active member of STG, the Systems Administrator will lead our infrastructure as a service environment and our popular and highly utilized program of consultations and workshops supporting computational and data fluency for all. LAI staff and librarians are champions of open access and open research practices to enhance research reproducibility. We also contribute to the scholarly community through our own software development, research, professional engagement, and service.
Primary Job Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
