Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Systems Analyst to join our team in Austin, TX. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days per week in office (Monday and Tuesday) QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of experience in the following areas: Experience with Medicaid Claims Processing Experience in business objectives and problems and identifying alternative solutions Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements, operational procedures, and problems to automate processing and/or improve existing computer systems Experience in writing detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop and/or modify computer program o Experience in cost/benefit analysis of systems and alternatives Experience in analyzing and documenting input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reporting Experience with Azure DevOps and generation of wireframes High level of sound logic and analytics ability Highly developed oral and written communication skills High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and elicit work output Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology industry trends, directions and market experience; ability to relate them to organization Knowledge of architecture concepts, principles, and tools relevant to infrastructure, information, applications, organizational structure, etc. Knowledge of emerging technologies (new to company systems as well as those that are new to the information systems industry) Knowledge of tools, techniques and good practices for protecting the integrity of corporate data and associated processing, company technology practices, standards, and procedures Knowledge of solution delivery utilizing Agile or Scrum methodology PREFERRED 2+ years of experience in the following areas: Experience working for State level government organizations Familiarity with company’s information architecture and information management technologies Familiarity with the existing and planned software technology and the global, regional, and local software architecture and infrastructure components JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Assists in the development of project documentation based on business requirements. Assists in the development of application on-line help Conducts requirements gathering with non-technical subject matter experts to understand business process needs and program requirements to create use cases, flow charts, acceptance criteria and other documentation needed for system enhancements. Analyzes new and existing business processes to determine how modifications and changes will impact the system Serve as technical expert responsible for working with non-technical and technical stakeholders to ensure clear and effective communication is maintained throughout the software development lifecycle Ensures that design complies with company standards Performs necessary testing of assigned programs, including the generation of test date, writing test scripts/execution sequences, examining test results, debugging detected errors, etc. Uses current software development methods/techniques and established development standards (which include testing standards) to ensure the quality and maintainability of applications. Provide status reports on enhancement activities and resolution of issues impacting system Notify immediate manager and technical lead of critical issues impacting the system’s ability to deliver services as designed. Attends regular status meetings to update team members such as developers, business analysts, database administrators, and project managers of progress of assigned work. Regularly updates assignments through the use of a ticketing system allowing for the sharing of information with project team members. Provides information to non-technical and technical staff via email, telephone and formal presentations covering such topics as system functionality, data collection processes and other technical issues as needed.
