Systems Analyst III – Cerner Millennium CCL / Data Transformation Lead

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a highly experienced Systems Analyst III / Cerner Millennium CCL Data Transformation Lead to support large-scale Electronic Health Record (EHR) migration and modernization initiatives.

This senior-level role is ideal for a technical expert with deep experience in Cerner Millennium, Cerner Command Language (CCL), healthcare data transformation, and enterprise reporting environments. The selected professional will play a critical role in translating complex clinical workflows into technical solutions that support EHR modernization, data migration, reporting, analytics, and legacy system retirement.

This is a high-impact opportunity supporting mission-critical healthcare operations within a large enterprise healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and document clinical workflows across inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary care settings
• Translate clinical and operational requirements into technical specifications for reporting, analytics, and data extraction
• Design, develop, test, optimize, and maintain Cerner Command Language (CCL) scripts within Cerner Millennium environments
• Perform complex data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and reporting from Cerner Millennium Oracle schemas
• Support enterprise-wide EHR migration, reporting modernization, and legacy system retirement initiatives
• Develop and maintain structured data feeds, flat file extracts, and ETL processes
• Troubleshoot CCL performance issues and downstream reporting or integration challenges
• Serve as a liaison between clinical stakeholders, informatics teams, and technical delivery teams
• Communicate technical limitations, dependencies, and data constraints to non-technical stakeholders
• Execute and optimize CCL scripts, batch jobs, and production support activities across enterprise environments

Required Qualifications

• 11+ years of experience supporting large-scale healthcare IT systems and clinical operations
• Advanced hands-on experience with Cerner Command Language (CCL)
• Strong understanding of Cerner Millennium architecture and Oracle database environments
• Proven experience supporting EHR implementations, migrations, and optimization initiatives
• Strong ability to translate clinical workflows into technical and data solutions
• Experience with SQL, Linux, enterprise data extraction, and migration strategies
• Experience designing, building, and supporting ETL processes
• Familiarity with healthcare reporting environments and system integrations
• Experience with REST / SOA development
• Knowledge of distributed systems, networking, and performance optimization
• Experience writing, executing, and tuning CCL scripts in production environments
• Strong background in data extraction, system integration, and enterprise code development
• Working knowledge of one or more of the following: Java, C, C++, Python, Perl, or OCI
• Hands-on experience supporting services on public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting Cerner Millennium environments at an enterprise level
• Previous experience serving as a Senior Cerner Consultant or Technical Lead
• Experience supporting healthcare modernization or public sector healthcare initiatives
• Strong stakeholder communication and cross-functional leadership experience
