Job Description: Senior Business Data Analyst We are seeking a Senior Business Data Analyst with extensive experience in analyzing complex business requirements and translating them into actionable solutions. This role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that system enhancements and data solutions align with organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities Analyze business objectives, user requirements, processes, and data flows to identify gaps, pain points, and opportunities for automation or system improvement. Conduct cost/benefit analysis of alternative solutions and provide recommendations. Write detailed business requirement documents, Epics, and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria. Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure alignment between business needs and system capabilities. Design and optimize data workflows and management processes using modeling and mapping tools. Develop and maintain documentation including data dictionaries, process maps, and data specifications. Create and present data models, dashboards, and visual reports to communicate insights, trends, and performance metrics. Facilitate workshops, lead stakeholder interviews, and document outcomes to drive resolution of data-related issues. Stay proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements. Qualifications & Experience Minimum Requirements: 13+ years of hands-on experience as a Business Data Analyst in the Information Technology industry. Strong expertise in analyzing data-driven business problems and providing actionable solutions. 10+ years of experience designing and optimizing data workflows and processes. Proficiency in writing Epics, User Stories, and acceptance criteria. 8+ years of experience creating and maintaining business and data documentation (e.g., data dictionaries, requirement documents, mapping specifications). 8+ years of experience developing visual data models and dashboards to present insights and project timelines. Proven ability to lead data-focused meetings, conduct interviews, and manage stakeholder communication. Preferred: Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. ***Lumen and / or its clients will not provide equipment (Laptop, monitor, etc.) to the selected contractor. The contractor must have their own equipment.
