Job Description Systems Analyst Location: Atlanta, Georgia | Chicago, Illinois We are looking for a talented Systems Analyst to join our team for a high-impact Mainframe to Java migration project. This role requires strong technical expertise in Java, COBOL, or Lotus Notes, with hands-on experience in building modern solutions using APIs and Microservices. Roles and Responsibilities
Analyze existing applications (COBOL, Java, Lotus Notes) and document processes in clear business terms.
Design and develop REST APIs and Microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
Create Open API specifications per REST standards for integration and documentation.
Support the deployment of API proxies on MuleSoft Flex Gateway.
Integrate with DB2, SOAP, Mainframe, and REST services.
Apply microservices architecture and design patterns to ensure scalable, efficient solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth migration and implementation.
Provide system analysis, troubleshooting, and support throughout the migration process.
Key Requirements
Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST API, SOAP.
Hands-on experience in COBOL or Lotus Notes (any 2 skills required: COBOL/Java/Lotus Notes).
Proficiency in Open API specification development.
Knowledge of MuleSoft Flex Gateway deployment.
Experience with DB2, Mainframe systems, and API integration.
Familiarity with microservices design, patterns, and monitoring tools.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
