Systems Analyst 

Location

  • Cranston, RI
  • Hybrid Schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
  • Prefers Local Candidates 

Schedule

  • 35 hours per week
  • Monday-Friday
  • 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Long-term contract through June 30, 2028

Pay Range

  • $49.00 - $51.00/hour

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst - Intermediate (Data Analyst) to support critical reporting, compliance, financial analysis, and program performance initiatives. This role will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, developing recurring reports and dashboards, and providing meaningful insights to support operational, fiscal, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience working with multiple data sources, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and report on financial, utilization, outcome, and program performance data.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance recurring reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
  • Perform independent data analysis to support eligibility reviews, fiscal assessments, service programs, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Deliver ad hoc and customized analytical requests while meeting established timelines.
  • Create standardized financial and operational reports for multiple program areas.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and key performance indicators to support planning and policy decisions.
  • Collaborate with program, policy, fiscal, and analytical teams to develop actionable insights.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance on reporting, metrics, and data interpretation.
  • Evaluate and improve data quality, integrity, and reporting processes.
  • Utilize multiple systems and datasets to support organizational reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Present analytical findings to stakeholders and leadership in a clear and concise manner.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning through data-driven recommendations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience performing complex data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and advanced reporting techniques.
  • Experience developing and maintaining recurring reports and dashboards.
  • Ability to analyze large, complex, and imperfect datasets and derive meaningful insights.
  • Experience providing analytical support to multiple stakeholders while managing competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience presenting data findings to business and operational stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Access.
  • Experience with SQL and database querying.
  • Experience with VBA development and automation.
  • Experience using Python, R, STATA, DAX, or similar analytical tools.
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Query, and data visualization development.
  • Experience supporting regulatory compliance, reporting, or public sector initiatives.
  • Experience partnering with leadership teams to provide decision support and business insights.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams that include operational, analytical, fiscal, or program-focused stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success improving data quality, reporting processes, and operational efficiencies.
