Systems Analyst III professionals to design, develop, and optimize modern data platforms supporting large-scale analytics, reporting, and decision-making.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex data engineering initiatives utilizing Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and modern Lakehouse architecture within a collaborative enterprise environment.
What You'll DoAs a Systems Analyst III, you will design and implement scalable data engineering solutions while partnering with business and technical teams to deliver high-quality analytics platforms.
Responsibilities include:- Design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale data solutions using Databricks
- Build and maintain scalable ETL and ELT data pipelines utilizing Apache Spark
- Develop solutions using Python, PySpark, or Scala for large-scale data processing
- Design and implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers)
- Develop and maintain Delta Lake and Lakehouse data solutions
- Build and manage Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines (formerly Delta Live Tables)
- Create and schedule production workflows using Lakeflow Jobs or comparable orchestration tools
- Develop robust dimensional data models, including star and snowflake schemas
- Design Databricks SQL dashboards, Databricks Apps, and reporting solutions
- Implement data governance, security, quality, and validation frameworks
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Conduct system analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and solution evaluations
- Optimize platform performance, scalability, operational monitoring, and cost efficiency
- Present technical solutions and business insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle
Required QualificationsCandidates should possess:- 8+ years of experience supporting the design, development, deployment, or delivery of enterprise technology solutions
- 8+ years of experience with Databricks and Apache Spark
- 8+ years building and optimizing ETL and ELT data pipelines
- 8+ years of experience with SQL and Python or Scala
- 8+ years of experience designing enterprise data warehouses and dimensional data models
- 8+ years developing Databricks SQL Dashboards and Databricks Apps
- 8+ years implementing data governance, security, and data quality practices
- 8+ years of experience with Delta Lake, Medallion Architecture, and Lakehouse design
- 8+ years developing Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines (Delta Live Tables)
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Lakeflow Jobs or Apache Airflow
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to independently analyze complex business requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working within state government or public sector environments
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate or Professional certification
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and DevOps practices for data engineering
Work Schedule- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Hybrid work environment combining onsite and remote work
- Occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required based on project needs
Contract Details- Contract dates: September 1, 2026 – August 31, 2027
- Approximately 2,008 hours
- Opportunity for contract extension based on project needs
- Overtime requires prior approval
