Job Description: Seeking an experienced Systems Architect to provide enterprise architecture leadership, infrastructure support, and technical oversight for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Windows Server administration, authentication technologies, enterprise application support, automation, infrastructure troubleshooting, and systems optimization. This role requires designing, implementing, supporting, and optimizing enterprise platforms while ensuring security, performance, scalability, and alignment with organizational technology standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect enterprise technology solutions aligned with agency standards and business requirements
  • Design, document, and maintain enterprise technical and security architectures
  • Install, configure, administer, and support enterprise COTS applications and related platforms
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system performance tuning activities
  • Provide L3 support for Windows Server enterprise environments
  • Manage authentication and identity integration solutions using SAML, OpenID Connect, and enterprise identity frameworks
  • Support networking, storage, load balancing, and security infrastructure initiatives
  • Develop automation scripts and administrative solutions using PowerShell
  • Collaborate with vendors, technical teams, and business stakeholders to support enterprise systems
  • Mentor technical staff and provide guidance on enterprise infrastructure best practices


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Conduct architecture reviews, system assessments, and modernization initiatives
  • Manage incidents, service requests, problem management, and change activities
  • Support enterprise application implementation and platform enhancement projects
  • Analyze system logs, infrastructure performance metrics, and monitoring reports
  • Recommend system upgrades, enhancements, and performance optimization opportunities


Required Skills:

  • Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019 administration experience
  • IIS administration and configuration experience
  • Active Directory administration and identity management experience
  • Strong knowledge of SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect authentication protocols
  • Experience with WebLogic and Tomcat administration
  • PowerShell scripting and automation experience
  • Splunk monitoring and log analysis experience
  • Network troubleshooting and infrastructure support expertise
  • Experience supporting enterprise systems and COTS applications


Preferred Skills:

  • VMware administration and virtualization technologies
  • Oracle and SQL database knowledge
  • WireShark, Process Monitor, and Netstat troubleshooting tools
  • F5 load balancing technologies
  • Enterprise security architecture experience


Qualifications:

  • Experience translating business requirements into enterprise architecture solutions required
  • Experience supporting enterprise COTS applications preferred
  • Experience providing L3 support in enterprise environments required
  • Experience implementing automation and infrastructure optimization initiatives preferred
