This position is for a Mission Assurance Systems Architect Staff supporting Skunk Works programs. The role requires excellent technical leadership skills. The candidate must possess experience and initiative to ensure technical leadership and support is provided for the development process. The applicant must be a proven problem‑solver who can multi‑task in a complex interrelated environment.

The candidate designs, develops, and oversees anti‑tamper (AT) system architectures, including complex systems and systems‑design activities. Serves as the focal point for the development and communication of the AT architecture, Critical Program Information (CPI) identification, Consequence of Compromise (CoC) for CPI determination, and Attack/Countermeasure Tree development. Ensures conversion of AT requirements into total systems solutions that account for design and technology‑maturity constraints of the system. Develops AT systems and AT systems‑element architecture, design, and interface definition. Supports internal and external design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.). Maintains knowledge of current and developing technologies and design and analysis methodologies. Develops models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development. Prepares proposal inputs. Provides inputs to and/or steers USG policy.

Daily tasks include but are not limited to the following:

• Engage in architecture definition, technology development and insertion, and technical trades with an emphasis on security, commonality, best practices, and value.
• Ensure that Command Media is followed and that designs are compliant to design standards and contractual requirements.
• Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with Program Engineers, Suppliers and Government Customers.
• Ensure engagement of engineering resources to resolve anomalies and technical issues.
• Ensure development activities, accomplishments, and issues are communicated to the Mission Assurance Senior Manager and Director.

The successful candidate will report to the Mission Assurance AMMM & Skunk Works Manager | Senior Manager and be expected to work closely with the other members of the Mission Assurance staff to ensure synergy across the Aero portfolio.

Candidate will also have the ability to travel to Lockheed Martin facilities, supplier's facilities, and customer facilities.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technical Discipline.
• Experience planning and leading the technical efforts associated with program capture efforts, system/subsystem requirements development, program Hardware and Software Development, and Requirements Verification/Validation activities.
• Experience with Systems Engineering tools such as JIRA, and Confluence
• Experience communicating technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership, and functional leadership as well as externally to the customer.
• Experience/familiarity in dealing with the Engineering & Technology functional organization.
• Generally has 5+ years of related experience and may have a post‑secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
• Final Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance.

Desired Skills

• Ability to travel OCONUS
• Familiarity and knowledge of Avionics Subsystems include Communications, Navigation, Identification, Infrared Search and Track, Core Processing, Electronic Warfare/Protection and Radar.
• Proficiency in creating artifacts (functional diagrams, interface definitions, data models).
• Experience managing and prioritizing multiple high‑priority tasks.
• Experience evaluating vulnerabilities/threats/risks to a system/subsystem.
• Reverse Engineering background.
• Experience with modern engineering practices such as Cross-Functional Agile teams and Capability-based planning.
• Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems and work independently without direction, while ensuring alignment with program objectives.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $120600.00 - $224000.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
