Systems Coordinator

Overview

Responsibilities

Coordinates the implementation, maintenance and development of departmental information system and serves as a system resource specialist in supporting the operational goals of the assigned functional area.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Demonstrates written, interpersonal, or communication skills as appropriate to position

Working knowledge of computer principles and practices

In Laboratory, MT(ASCP) eligibility or BS in Computer Science is required

For Coord Systems RN, Associate Degree in Nursing

Licensure, Registration, Certification:

Coord Systems RN Only -

One of the following:

• Current Alabama RN license
• Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*
• Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama

OR

Pharmacy Only -

Licensed Technician by the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy

OR

Information Technology Only-

Must have one of the following:

• Bachelor's degree
• EPIC certification
• Candidates with a minimum of 5 years of health information systems experience must complete Epic certification within 1 year of employment

Desired Qualifications:

College Degree (BS, BA)

Working knowledge of the department information system in current usage

Working knowledge of functional area

For Pharmacy, completion of ASHP module on pharmacy information systems
