Are you ready to lead one of technologys largest device management operations, overseeing more than 1M+ devices globally? The Client Engineering team seeks a Systems Development Manager to spearhead our DevOps initiatives for Amazons fleet management technologies.

Our team owns the global Client Management Systems, Application infrastructure, and Collaboration tools across Amazon. We build sophisticated multi-platform solutions that enhance user experience while maintaining rigorous security standards.

Were specifically seeking a Systems Development Manager with deep expertise in MacOS/Linux infrastructure and development. As we leverage AWS products to transform traditional enterprise tools and services at scale, your background in automating large-scale Windows infrastructure deployments will be crucial.

In this role, youll lead a team of senior engineers who manage Amazons global endpoint fleet, directing all aspects of Windows endpoint management from imaging and provisioning to patching and compliance maintenance. Youll implement DevOps patterns using both AWS native services and third-party solutions while maintaining our high security standards.

As a key leader in this space, youll influence the building, automation, and operation of Amazons current and next-generation fleet management technologies. Youll work with our distributed endpoint infrastructure globally, making architectural decisions that impact millions of devices. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of endpoint management at one of the worlds largest technology companies while leading a team of experienced engineers dedicated to delivering exceptional results for our customers.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team that drives organizational standards for operational excellence and resiliency. • Establish strong relationships with internal and external partners and peer stakeholders to understand and meet their needs while operating existing systems at a high level of Operational Excellence. • Lead the team thru large scale incident management/escalations to resolve outages and communicate with a global audience and senior leadership. • Develop and maintain a culture of innovation and operational excellence in the teams. • Manage the design and development of next generation platform orchestration and automation. • Hiring, developing, and retaining a world-class engineering team that meets Amazon's high bar. • A successful candidate will be an experienced leader with an established background in developing and operating platforms and services, developing and hiring top talent, strong technical ability, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
