Systems/DevOps Engineer

Overview: We are looking for a Systems/DevOps Engineer to work on our Cloud Automation Advancements Team. Work hand-in-hand with technical and program management leadership to implement the next generation desktop and web based production and dissemination system. 

Responsibilities:

• This position will require experience standing up and maintaining Windows Servers in a cloud environments, and the deployment and maintenance of custom code, COTS, and GOTS to those environments.
• Lead systems administration and Devops activities that support building and delivering new and innovative systems to implement analytics, exploitation, production and dissemination using web, remote desktop, and cloud technologies.

Qualifications:

• Requires a BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related discipline and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience; OR 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
• Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI post hire
• DoD 8570 compliance
• Experience with cloud/Amazon Web services (AWS)
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems
• System (hardware, software and networking) Design and Architecture.
• Understanding of custom code development/reviews
• Understanding of DevSecOps methodologies and workflow
• Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with GITLAB functionality, error codes and scripting
• Experience with RedHat OpenShift
• Experience developing webapps with Python
• Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Follows tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail.
• Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ArcGIS or geospatial technologies
• Experience using AWS services/technologies (e.g. CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS)
• Experience with AWS Serverless architectures (lambda, API gateway, load balancing, autoscaling)
• Experience with troubleshooting, configuring, and deploying docker containers
• Experience writing, maintaining, and describing architecture diagrams
• Team Collaboration tools and administration (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)
