Systems Engineer 3 (93128-1)
Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Systems Engineer 3. The work will be done onsite in Mossville, IL. This is a long-term position (24 months) that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $55/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
Cullerton Group is seeking a Systems Engineer to support testing, integration, and validation of advanced software and connectivity systems within a cutting-edge engineering environment. This role focuses on evaluating system performance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting the development and validation of embedded and networked systems. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to test software releases, analyze system behavior, and drive continuous improvements. This position offers hands-on experience in both lab and field environments, including real-world system testing.
Key Responsibilities
Support system testing and validation of software releases, including real-world and field-based testing
Analyze system performance, troubleshoot issues, and document findings to support continuous improvement
Collaborate with development engineers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to validate system requirements
Develop and execute test plans for embedded and networked systems
Utilize networking and diagnostic tools to monitor, analyze, and improve system performance
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
57 years of experience in systems engineering, integration, or testing within a technical environment
Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP networking, routing, LTE/5G, or similar technologies)
Experience with Linux configuration, troubleshooting, and system debugging
Experience with test planning, execution, and system validation processes
Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, or similar
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with embedded systems, connectivity solutions, or edge computing environments
Experience with automation scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)
Familiarity with requirements management tools (Jama, DOORS, or similar)
Experience working in field testing environments or with real-world system validation
Background in industrial systems, autonomous technologies, or heavy equipment environments preferred
