Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Systems Engineer position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) OR fully remote option available. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C.
Position Overview:
Position will support our enterprise automation solution (Broadcom Automic) for day-to-day functions such as job setup/reviews, deployments and incident resolutions. Project work will consist of patching and upgrades. CoLo migration activities into a new datacenter.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Completes activities related to larger and/or more complex installations, configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
- Ensures system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff and partners.
- Respond to and resolve help desk escalations based on prior incident outcomes
- Analyze system issues and create trending reports to support long-term solutions
- Develop and document procedures for work orders and request-based tasks
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical incidents using diagnostic tools
- Perform system maintenance activities including patching, health checks, OS updates, and validation of changes
- Research anomalies, provide recommendations, and collaborate with senior staff
- Schedule maintenance to minimize operational risk
- Provide coaching and mentorship to less experienced team members
- Support scheduled evening responsibilities
- Develop and maintain documentation for maintenance procedures and operational standards
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a technology-related field
- Certifications or specialized training in related technologies
Pay Range: $40-$48/hr
