Responsibilities

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to provide onsite support and enhancements for our client.   They utilize a Microsoft-centric infrastructure, with a strong focus on Azure and Microsoft 365 (O365). This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running with level 2 and level 3 based support with a desire to grow within a rapidly expanding organization. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-first infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance across enterprise systems. This position requires someone who is a collaborative team player with strong communication skills and a desire to learn and grow. This is a direct hire opportunity working onsite Monday-Friday in the office located in either Barrington or Chicago, IL with  the possibility of up to 10% travel throughout the midwest.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, cloud, or infrastructure roles
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Microsoft 365 / O365 administration
    • Windows server environments
  • Exposure to cloud architecture and infrastructure design
  • Exposure to security practices and tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Experience with hybrid cloud/on-prem environments would be a plus
  • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell or similar) would be a plus
  • Exposure to enterprise security tools and frameworks would be a plus
  • Relevant certifications (Azure, Microsoft 365, etc.) are a plus
  • Must have a valid drivers license and proof of insurance with reliable transportation
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Compensation Range: 

$65,000- $120,000 annually
