Job Title: Systems Engineer

Job Description

This Systems Engineer role focuses on understanding customer needs and transforming them into robust system architectures and clear requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional development teams, guide technical direction for products, and create high-quality user documentation that supports successful implementation and use. The position offers the opportunity to provide technical leadership, solve complex engineering problems, and influence the evolution of advanced systems in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Study and analyze customer needs to translate them into clear system requirements and design objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive system architectures that align with customer requirements and overall product strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with multi-functional development teams to ensure cohesive system design, integration, and implementation.
  • Produce clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation that supports system usage, maintenance, and future enhancements.
  • Influence product technical direction by providing expert input to customers and internal teams on system design and architecture.
  • Lead aspects of the engineering process, providing guidance and direction to team members as needed.
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and develop effective technical solutions.
  • Ensure that system requirements and architectures remain consistent, traceable, and aligned with project goals throughout the development lifecycle.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in systems engineering or a closely related field.
  • Strong systems engineering background, including end-to-end understanding of system design and integration.
  • Proven experience in requirements writing, with the ability to create clear, testable, and traceable requirements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in architecture development for complex systems.
  • Leadership capabilities, including the ability to guide technical decisions and support team collaboration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to analyzing and resolving technical challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively with multi-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with vehicle electronic architectures.
  • Knowledge of audio processing concepts and applications.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, such as SysML.
  • Understanding of Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) processes and best practices.
  • background in acoustics and its application within engineering systems.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving customer needs and emerging technologies.
  • Strong written communication skills for producing high-quality technical and user documentation.

Work Environment

The work environment centers on collaborative systems engineering within multidisciplinary development teams. You will work closely with engineers from various disciplines to define requirements, develop architectures, and support implementation. The role involves regular technical discussions with both internal stakeholders and customers, as well as focused individual work on documentation and design activities. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $50.00/hr.
