Job Description:
Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search for a Systems Engineer to consolidate and formalize requirements for a complex, software-intensive system. Requirements currently exist across documents, Jira stories, test artifacts, and subject-matter-expert knowledge. This role will organize those inputs into a clear, testable, and traceable requirements baseline in IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS Next (DOORS NG).
Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
Inventory and assess existing requirement sources, including specifications, Jira stories, architecture and interface documents, test cases, and stakeholder knowledge.
Facilitate working sessions with engineers, operators, testers, and other subject-matter experts to clarify intent and resolve gaps or conflicts.
Convert informal and inconsistent inputs into clear, concise, testable, and implementation-independent requirements using established systems engineering practices.
Identify duplicates, ambiguities, contradictions, assumptions, obsolete content, and open decisions requiring stakeholder resolution.
Load and structure the approved requirements in DOORS Next using the organization's established configuration and processes.
Establish bidirectional traceability among requirements and source artifacts.
Create concise process guidance and provide knowledge transfer to internal staff.
Requirements:
Demonstrated systems engineering and requirements engineering experience with complex, software-intensive systems.
Experience using IBM DOORS Next or a comparable formal requirements management tool.
Experience establishing traceability across requirements, design, delivery work items, and test evidence.
Strong facilitation, technical writing, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to work independently, bring structure to ambiguous information, and deliver incrementally in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience analyzing source code to identify undocumented system behavior and develop candidate requirements.
Experience with Jira, Agile delivery practices, and lifecycle traceability.
Experience with model-based systems engineering, architecture modeling, or verification and validation.
Experience using automation, static analysis, or AI-assisted techniques to improve requirements discovery or quality.
Experience in utility, energy-market, or another high-availability operational environment.

About Company
We recognize the VMS program management team is our customer and needs to be serviced with integrity, so we built and continue to improve upon our delivery methods as we strive to provide the highest quality service possible.
inSync Staffing’s management team recognized ten years ago the inevitable changes to the staffing industry being brought about by technology and the growing trend of Fortune 1000 corporations to outsource management of their contingent workforces to meet compliance and cost control goals. Rather than swim upstream against the changes, inSync Staffing has embraced MSP and VMS programs as our customers, not competitors. We asked program managers how they want to be serviced.
The result of their input is that we have structured inSync Staffing as a recruiting and customer service organization, unlike traditional staffing companies who sell directly to the end client. Our delivery model allows us concentrates our resources on how to best supply candidates in a very competitive MSP/VMS program environment.
