Job Description

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Windows systems administration, Active Directory, NTFS security, scripting, and enterprise application deployment and a proven ability to lead problem management, perform root cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer Windows systems, profiles, services, scheduled tasks, and NTFS file shares.
  • Manage Active Directory objects using ADUC for users, groups, and devices.
  • Apply least-privilege security using NTFS permissions and domain authentication best practices.
  • Troubleshoot network access, including firewall rules and port availability.
  • Execute root cause analysis using Event Viewer, ProcMon, Process Explorer, and environment variables.
  • Conduct log investigations and proactive monitoring to prevent incidents.
  • Lead problem management and drive long-term corrective actions.
  • Support CAD application deployments and operations (e.g., NX, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).
  • Create install packages and scripts to automate application deployment.
  • Use GitHub for version control and documentation maintenance.
  • Apply development rigor across requirements, design, testing, and production release.
  • Operate within formal change control and release management with risk mitigation.
  • Produce technical guides and process documentation for stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and facilitate conflict resolution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Windows administration: profiles, services, scheduled tasks, NTFS shares.
  • Deep NTFS permissions knowledge and least-privilege security practices.
  • Active Directory user, group, and device management using ADUC.
  • Domain authentication and basic network troubleshooting, firewalls, and ports.
  • Root cause analysis with Event Viewer, ProcMon, Process Explorer, and environment variables.
  • Log investigation and proactive system monitoring experience.
  • Problem management leadership delivering long-term fixes beyond break-fix.
  • CAD software familiarity and deployment requirements (NX, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).
  • Install package creation and deployment automation scripting.
  • Strong scripting skills in BATCH and Perl.
  • GitHub for version control and documentation management.
  • Lifecycle rigor across requirements, design, testing, and production deployment.
  • Change control and release management with risk mitigation focus.
  • Strong documentation skills for technical and process materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution.
  • Self-motivated, technically curious, and improvement driven.

Preferred Skills:

  • Virtual machine management and optimization.
  • PowerShell scripting.
  • C, C++, or C# development experience.
  • Group Policy Objects and Windows Server knowledge.
  • Enterprise application packaging and deployment experience.
  • Familiarity with structured problem management and governance practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field preferred or equivalent enterprise experience.
  • Microsoft certifications: SC-300, AZ-800/AZ-801, or SC-200.
