Systems Engineer – CMOSS Mounted Form Factor (CMFF)
Location: Taunton, MA
Pay: Up to $73/hour
Work Type: Onsite
Schedule: 9/80 Work Schedule
Clearance: Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)


Overview:
Seeking a Systems Engineer to support advanced CMOSS Mounted Form Factor (CMFF) defense systems. This role focuses on system integration, hardware/software troubleshooting, test development, and lifecycle engineering for next-generation military platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate advanced hardware including SBCs, FPGAs, GPUs, and OpenVPX systems
  • Support full lifecycle system integration, testing, and validation
  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and firmware issues
  • Develop and execute system test procedures
  • Support test automation and scripting activities
  • Perform network analysis and troubleshooting using tools such as Wireshark
  • Support virtualization environments including VMware and Linux virtual devices
  • Generate technical documentation and support system accreditation activities
  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver integrated defense solutions

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 3+ years)
  • Experience with systems integration and lifecycle engineering
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Experience with requirements management and system modeling tools
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with OpenVPX chassis and card integration
  • Familiarity with CMOSS and/or SOSA standards
  • Experience with automated test scripting
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware/Linux)
  • Network troubleshooting experience using Wireshark
  • Experience supporting defense, embedded, or tactical systems
