Join Community

Community Health Network was created by our neighbors, for our neighbors. Over 60 years later, "community" is still the heart of our organization. It means providing our neighbors with the best care possible, backed by state-of-the-art technology. It means getting involved in the communities we serve through volunteer opportunities and benefits initiatives. It means ensuring our dedicated caregivers can learn and grow to stay at the top of their fields and to better serve our patients. And above all, it means exceptional care, simply delivered - and we couldn't do it without you.

Make a Difference

We are seeking a hands-on Enterprise Datacenter Infrastructure Engineer to support critical infrastructure across two core data centers and five regional healthcare campuses. This role involves direct work with physical hardware, troubleshooting server/storage/network equipment, coordinating with other technical teams, and effectively using manufacturer support systems.

The ideal candidate has solid hands-on experience in datacenter environments, is comfortable working with hardware, and can navigate vendor support portals to help resolve issues. While the role offers hybrid flexibility for some planning and documentation work, candidates must be able to report to the primary data center locations within a reasonable timeframe when hands-on work is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise servers, storage, and networking hardware in production environments.

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and infrastructure issues, working methodically to restore service and prevent recurrence.

  • Coordinate with Network, Storage, Virtualization, Application, and Facilities teams to plan and execute changes and maintenance activities while minimizing service disruption.

  • Navigate manufacturer support systems and portals (including Cisco, IBM, Hitachi, and others) to open cases, check compatibility, access firmware and documentation, and leverage vendor resources.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, runbooks, and procedures for hardware operations and troubleshooting.

  • Support hardware lifecycle activities including refreshes, firmware updates, and decommissioning.

  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide on-site support as needed for incidents or scheduled maintenance.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • This position requires a minimal of three-five (3-5) years successfully supporting an Enterprise scale environment and must be knowledgeable at the expert level of current technologies and hardware capabilities of a large-scale enterprise environment required.

  • Experience with server hardware, familiarity with Cisco, HP, Dell, Fiber Channel, Virtualization, Cloud services preferred.

  • Performs hands-on experience supporting enterprise-scale datacenter hardware (servers, storage systems, and networking equipment) in production environments.

  • Practical experience troubleshooting and maintaining physical infrastructure components such as servers, storage arrays, switches, and related hardware.

  • Ability to coordinate effectively with other technical teams during planned changes and incidents to help minimize operational impact.

  • Experience working with manufacturer support portals and systems (examples include Cisco, IBM, and Hitachi) to open cases, research compatibility, obtain firmware/updates, and drive issues toward resolution.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

  • Reliable transportation and the ability to report to one of the two primary data center locations within a reasonable response time for hands-on work and incident response. Regular on-site presence at the primary data centers is expected in this hybrid role.

Why Community?

At Community Health Network, we build teams that deliver exceptional care through empathy, communication and collaboration. We consider ALL an integral part of the exceptional patient experience. We PRIIDE ourselves on not having employees but Caregivers. Join our Community as we make a difference in your community.
