This role requires strong analytical skills, collaborative teamwork, and a deep understanding of system engineering standards and practices in support of Department of Defense (DoD) mission systems.

  • Develop and execute system test plans, integration procedures, and documentation to verify functional and performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with other engineering and technical teams (network engineers, software developers, cybersecurity professionals) to ensure seamless system functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including failure analyses, and recommend corrective actions to address performance gaps.
  • Apply cybersecurity principles to ensure systems align with DoD RMF (Risk Management Framework) requirements, standards, and accreditation processes.
  • Support system lifecycle processes, including requirements analysis, risk mitigation, configuration management, and documentation updates.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, as needed.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including government program managers, to ensure deliverables meet mission objectives and timelines.

  • Knowledge of networking and communication concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, routers, switches) relevant to the CDN or MCH.
  • Experience in applying DoD cybersecurity best practices, including Risk Management Framework (RMF) alignment and system accreditation processes.
  • Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities effectively.
