Description

We are seeking a JAMF Engineer to support the administration, deployment, and optimization of Apple macOS endpoint management solutions for a Federal Government customer. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing macOS devices using JAMF Pro and experience implementing or supporting JAMF environments in cloud or enterprise environments.

The JAMF Engineer will be responsible for macOS device provisioning, application deployment, security compliance, policy management, and lifecycle support while ensuring alignment with federal cybersecurity and operational requirements.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
  • Experience deploying or implementing JAMF Pro environments, including new environment builds, migrations, or cloud-based deployments.
  • Experience managing macOS devices at scale.
  • Experience with Apple Business Manager (ABM) and Automated Device Enrollment (ADE).
  • Experience developing and deploying JAMF policies, configuration profiles, and software packages.
  • Knowledge of macOS administration, security, and endpoint management best practices.
  • Experience integrating JAMF with enterprise identity and authentication solutions.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or Shell scripting.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Federal Government agencies.
  • Experience integrating JAMF Pro with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
  • Experience supporting cloud-hosted JAMF environments.
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-53, FISMA, and federal cybersecurity requirements.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Okta, or other identity management platforms.
  • Knowledge of certificate management, PKI, and secure device enrollment processes.
  • Experience implementing DISA STIGs or federal security baselines for macOS.
  • Experience supporting Zero Trust initiatives and endpoint security programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.
  • Administer and maintain JAMF Pro environments supporting enterprise macOS devices.
  • Support the deployment, configuration, and ongoing management of JAMF Pro infrastructure and services.
  • Configure and manage Mac enrollment workflows using Apple Business Manager (ABM) and Automated Device Enrollment (ADE).
  • Develop and maintain JAMF policies, configuration profiles, smart groups, and automated workflows.
  • Package, deploy, and manage software and operating system updates for macOS endpoints.
  • Configure and support security baselines and compliance controls for macOS devices.
  • Integrate JAMF with enterprise identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, Okta, or similar solutions.
  • Support endpoint lifecycle management, including provisioning, inventory management, patching, and retirement processes.
  • Troubleshoot device management, enrollment, policy, and software deployment issues.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Shell scripting.
  • Support integration with Microsoft Intune and other endpoint management platforms.
  • Generate compliance, inventory, and operational reports for stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and operational runbooks.
  • Provide Tier II/III support for JAMF-related incidents and service requests.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience administering JAMF Pro in an enterprise environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.

The estimated pay range for this role is $81,800 to $120,000, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
