Our Product Supply Aseptic Manufacturing (PS AM) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. The Position

Responsible for the operation, maintenance, administration, & improvement of selected IT Network & Infrastructure Systems.

Relationships

Reports to Manager, IT Systems.

Essential Functions

  • Support all network infrastructure devices & services
  • Support the sites wireless technology
  • Provide both analog & digital phone support
  • Work with carriers & vendors to ensure redundancy & availability of networks
  • Provide Tier 1 IT network support
  • Provide ad-hoc production support & after-hours support to the site
  • Ensure IT systems are available, capable, & accessible
  • Improve our capability by analyzing & improving the flow of information to key business units
  • Recommend & implement new technologies or improve existing technologies to meet the customer's needs
  • Support Site & IT projects
  • Support & practice IT Security
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other accountabilities as assigned

Physical Requirements

Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Ability to do close precision work with their hands. Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sitting and standing) 50% of the time. May required corrected vision to 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder. May be required to work at elevated heights. Occasionally works around odorous &/or hazardous materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in related field with minimum of five (5) years related experience or ten (10) years direct experience required
  • Practical experience in implementing & administering networks with more than 500 clients preferredCertification in a networking infrastructure discipline (e.g. CCNA, CCNP) preferred
  • Specific knowledge of networking principles & concepts preferred
  • Trouble-shoot, diagnose, resolve & document IT network devices (switches, routers, firewalls) & infrastructure systems (Monitoring Tools, Network Management systems, etc) preferred
  • Perform project implementation & management tasks, including risk assessments, vendor analysis,, specification development, system implementation & training for various information technology, telecommunication technology projects in accordance with established procedures preferred
  • Perform life-cycle system development tasks for IT network & infrastructure systems preferred
  • Operate infrastructure networks equipment/systems under FDA regulations & guidelines as they relate to computer-based information & automation systems preferred
  • Manage supported areas within IT infrastructure cost center budget preferred
  • Adhere to IT Networking/ infrastructure policies & procedures preferred
  • Responsibility for implementing IT network security preferred
  • Coordinates activities of IT Networking/infrastructure/Application teams preferred
  • Maintain network/infrastructure documentation in accordance with federal & corporate requirements preferred
  • Participate in corporate infrastructure guidance groups preferred
  • Serve as IT Responsible for network & networking systems infrastructure preferred
  • Perform other duties as assigned preferred
