Job Summary

The OpportunityBuild, optimize, and support the technology platforms that power healthcare innovation.We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise technology platforms across infrastructure, applications, networking, databases, and security. In this role, you'll work on complex technical environments, ensuring critical systems remain secure, scalable, and highly available while helping drive modernization and operational excellence.What You'll DoManage the day-to-day operation of enterprise platforms, including servers, applications, storage, databases, and networked services.Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance, availability, reliability, and capacity.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across multiple environments and technology stacks.-Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.Partner with technical teams to architect and implement new platforms, services, and infrastructure solutions.-Lead or support system upgrades, migrations, patching, and lifecycle management initiatives.-Strengthen platform security through system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and adherence to security best practices.-Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, application, database, and security teams to support enterprise projects and strategic initiatives.-Document system configurations, processes, and operational procedures to support knowledge sharing and maintainability.What We're Looking For-Experience supporting enterprise-level infrastructure, applications, and platform technologies.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across multiple technical domains.-Experience with automation, scripting, and operational process improvement.Knowledge of networking, operating systems, databases, cloud technologies, and security principles.-Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.-Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Why Join Us?You'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of enterprise technologies, contribute to high-impact projects, and play a key role in delivering reliable, secure, and scalable solutions that support our organization's mission.

• Bachelor's Degree Computer Science required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
• Can this role consider and review experience in lieu of a degree? Yes
• Experience as a systems engineer or related position 3-5 years required

ExperiencePrior related experience as a systems engineer/administrator supporting IBM AIX and RHEL operating systems or related position 3-5 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• 5+ years IT experience supporting IBM AIX (v6.x) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux; 7.x, 8.x, 9.x.
• Server administration experience in a large networked environment.
• Knowledge of scripting language.
• Knowledge of application development.
• Experience with IT security practices.
• Experience with patching AIX and/or RHEL systems.
• Experience with VMware or other virtual environments (Hyper-V or Nutanix).
• Experience with Rubrik for backups.
• Experience with managing systems in Azure helpful.
• Experience with identity and access management concepts and technology.
• Willingness and eagerness to learn new technology concepts and platforms with as-needed guidance from peers and management.
• Proficient in administering enterprise systems and platforms.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Solid understanding of data structure and database systems. Intermediate scripting and automation skills to streamline operational tasks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid environments.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex system and application issues.
• Experience with system monitoring tools and interpreting performance data.
• Understanding of system security concepts and the implementation of security-leading practices.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.

Working Model

• M-F Eastern Business Hours required
• Hybrid includes onsite: In office 1-2x weekly and must be flexible for business needs
• A quiet, secure, compliant workspace is required for remote workdays, and will be viewed and confirmed via Microsoft Teams Video. MGB will ensure that new hires have a HIPAA-compliant workspace (a dedicated, private workspace with a lockable file cabinet that is free from distraction and separate from others)

Pay Range

$75,275.20 - $109,553.60/Annual
