About the Role

The Systems Engineer III is responsible for the design, deployment and maintenance of server related IT Infrastructure systems. This is to include but not be limited to backup, storage, and virtualization in both the datacenter and the field.

 

The first 90 days in this role will be fully in-person to ensure comprehensive onboarding and training. After the initial period, the position will transition to a hybrid model, with 2 days remote and 3 days in the office each week.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with network staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes
  • Work with IT Senior leadership team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues
  • Deploy and maintain datacenter backup solutions
  • Deploy, provision and maintain storage
  • Maintain and streamline virtual machine deployment and standardization
  • Collaborate with peers and leadership to evaluate and deploy new datacenter technologies
  • Serve as final point of escalation for all Systems related support issues
  • Build documentation for all Systems within scope of responsibility
  • Rotational on call requirement, working remotely, every 8 weeks

Qualifications:

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ Years senior level experience REQUIRED
  • Experience with Exchange email solution, Azure/Cloud and SSO are REQUIRED
  • VMware, Storage, Backup experience preferred

Licenses/Designations/Certifications

  • VMware and Microsoft certifications preferred

Supervisory Requirements

  • This position is an Individual Contributor
