Title: Systems Engineer / Infrastructure Administrator
Job ID: 26-02617
Location: Hartford, CT
Duration: 12 months on W2 contract
 
Seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support enterprise infrastructure, Managed File Transfer (MFT), SFTP environments, servers, networking, storage, and security systems.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, automation, and MFT/SFTP solutions
  • Manage servers, VMs, networking, storage, and firewall environments (Windows, UNIX/Linux, VMware, Check Point, etc.)
  • Perform system administration, patching, upgrades, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Support incident management, change management, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives
  • Create technical documentation and establish operational best practices
  • Provide after-hours support and mentor junior team members
  • Assist with audits, vendor management, and infrastructure projects
 
Required Skills:
 
  • Strong experience with Windows/Linux administration, VMware, networking, and security
  • Experience with Managed File Transfer (MFT), SFTP, and automation tools
  • Knowledge of change management, incident response, and disaster recovery processes
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
