Systems Engineer – Internal Technical Operations We are looking for a Systems Engineer – Internal Technical Operations with primary responsibilities for implementing and administrating end user device management systems, and with a strong emphasis on automation and operational improvements. The Systems Engineer will develop, implement, and maintain our internal MDM platform and process automation across multiple IT teams. Work assignments will vary in size and complexity. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of MDM platforms and scripting/programming languages for automated process development.Location Troy, Michigan | Yarmouth, Maine | Plano, TexasTravel 10-25%Responsibilities Install, configure, test, and maintain end user device management systems, application deployment, and other system management tools.Develop custom scripts and automation tools to reduce manual workflows and improve operational workflows.Design, implement and oversee system security baselines and digital employee experience data to ensure compliance with security guidelines and improved end user uptime.Define technical requirements, design system architectures, and ensure different subsystems and vendor products integrate properly.Drive process definition, re‑engineering, improvement, and gap analysis of current/to‑be processes with key sponsors and stakeholders.Develop required documentation such as reports, process flow diagrams, automation workflows diagrams, etc.Identify areas of process improvement (efficiency and effectiveness) and recommend, develop and implement solutions.Work with other IT teams to drive process, security and experience improvements.Answer “how to” technical and application configuration questions of other members of the technical team and process owners.Communicate with business representatives to understand business functions and needs to provide an efficient automated solution.Conduct thorough and accurate testing of automated processes during design, integration, and implementation.Adhere to and assist in the development of standards and procedures.Occasional travel may occur.Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Sciences, Management Information Science, or Business. Equivalent work experience may substitute for degree requirement.Three or more years of experience in system administration.Two or more years of experience in developing, implementing, and supporting automated processes.In depth experience developing automated solutions using scripting / coding languages (such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, C#) required.Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills involving comprehensive research and fact finding along with effective root cause analysis, sound decision making and effective resolutions.Solid understanding of IT systems administration and standard IT processes.Keen attention to detail.Strong planning and organizational skills involving the ability to manage multiple work streams effectively.The ability to take complex end‑user requirements to system requirements to code.Strong time management skills with proven track record of delivering successful results.Strong interpersonal and communication skills involving communicating technical and non‑technical information in writing and verbally.Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team and across functional groups.Ability to be effective in a fast‑paced environment.Must be able to travel occasionally if requested.May be required to undergo and satisfactorily pass a fingerprint background check in accordance with CJIS requirements.Equal Opportunity Statement Tyler Technologies is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
