The program is providing systems engineering support of weapons systems on various platforms, including technical research and development of technologies, analysis, and documentation as part of the acquisition of Aircraft, Weapon, and Integrated Systems and the evaluation of their technical performance, mission suitability and associated acquisition risks throughout the full acquisition process and lifecycle of a program.Primary DutiesProgram Office: PMA-273 (Naval Undergraduate Flight Training Systems Program Office) is responsible for managing the aircraft, simulators, and associated systems that support the U.S. Navy's undergraduate pilot training pipeline.Act as engineering and acquisition support for the Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE) in the management of the T-6B Texan II – primary fixed‑wing training aircraft.Support systems engineering activities related to sustainment, upgrades, and safety of the T-6B Texan II.Monitor system performance, integration, and airworthiness.Coordinate with stakeholders across NAVAIR, training squadrons, and contractors to ensure fleet readiness and training mission effectiveness.Contribute to risk management, technical documentation, and compliance with acquisition standards.Skills and QualificationsStrong customer relations, analytics, documentation skills.Self‑starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality.Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to work within a challenging, fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.Ability to work independently.Ability to multi‑task and meet competing deliverable deadlines.Detail oriented.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and communicate issues.Ability to adapt to evolving technology.Demonstrated experience in an area of engineering expertise is required.Desired Experience:Fixed‑Wing Aviation Experience: familiarity with aircraft systems, flight training operations, or acquisition support for fixed‑wing aircraft.Knowledge of systems engineering processes and naval acquisition lifecycle.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university.Three (3) years of recent and relevant experience.ClearanceThis position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance and the applicant must be a U.S. Citizen and able to complete the full background investigation.CompensationThe estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 to $145,000.
