The selected candidate will support the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Enroute and Oceanic Integration and Interoperability Facility (EOIIF) at the William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) in Pomona, NJ. This position will provide direct support to the Oceanic Integration and Interoperability Facility (OIIF) Laboratory and serve as a key technical resource supporting laboratory operations, systems administration, testing activities, and customer demonstrations. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining laboratory readiness, supporting FAA users and stakeholders, and ensuring critical systems remain operational and current. Additional Responsibilities Include: - Serve as a primary technical point of contact for the Advanced Technologies and Procedures (ATOP) OIIF Laboratory
- Provide administration, maintenance, and operational support of laboratory systems, networks, and infrastructure supporting FAA research, testing, and operational evaluation activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, network, and user-related issues to maintain laboratory availability and reliability
- Initialize and configure the ATOP system for tours
- Initialize, configure, and operate the ATOP system in support of test activities, including ATOP/ERAM Interface Testing and ERAM Operational Evaluation (Ops Eval) Testing
- Execute and document test procedures, test results, discrepancies, and corrective actions
- Maintain and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco network infrastructure supporting laboratory operations
- Coordinate and implement software, hardware, and configuration upgrades, including maintaining ATOP laboratory systems at current Computer Software (CAS) baseline levels
- Support and maintain laboratory software tools and automation scripts
- Collaborate with FAA personnel, engineers, researchers, and contractors to support laboratory objectives and modernization initiatives
FAA Security Onboarding and Start Date: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a Position of Public Trust. Candidates should be aware that completion of the FAA security onboarding process may require two or more months prior to beginning work. Work Location Requirement: This role requires full-time onsite support at the William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) in Pomona, NJ. Remote work is not supported for this position.
