Davidson is seeking a Systems Engineer Mission Analyst - Level 2 or 3 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Position Overview:The Systems Engineer Mission Analyst will support the Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) Organization. The selected candidate will help guide and advise Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) and Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) OPIR Architecture (BOA) analysis efforts in support of MDA Flight Tests and Integrated/Distributed Ground Tests.Essential Functions:Analyses performed at all levels to include concept, design, scenario generation, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and post-test results.Selected candidate will maintain both hardware and software baseline documentation and contract requirements fulfillment.Other Responsibilities Include:Technical analysis, system integration, verification and validation, and "supportability and effectiveness" analyses for total OPIR systems.Special focus on process automation to support the Ground Test Integrated Simulation System (GTISS) architecture, design, and implementation within the OPIR framework.Will define the next generation of Ground Testing and working with the latest technology to enable mission success.The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/teams comprised of all experience levels.Basic Qualifications:Systems Engineer - Level 2: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree and 0-2 years of related work experience.Principal Systems Engineer - Level 3: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related work experience, or 1 year of related work experience with a PhD. in STEM.Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs.Documentation and requirements tracking experience.Basic knowledge of LINUX commands.Ability to maintain and follow documented processes and procedures.Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.Basic knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.Ability to maintain documentation through the development lifecycle.Ability to work in a team-centric, multi-tasking environment.Preferred Qualifications:MBSE Experience with CAMEO.Project Management Experience.Scripting experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl.Working knowledge of OPIR systems.Clearance Requirements:Must be eligible and able to receive and maintain a DoD-issued Secret security clearance
