Position OverviewThe New Product Development Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and validation of residential HVAC systems and components. This role supports innovation initiatives and works cross-functionally with laboratory, manufacturing, and product engineering teams to deliver high-performance, manufacturable solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop residential HVAC systems and subsystemsDevelop and validate thermal and system-level models to support design decisionsCollaborate with laboratory teams on performance, reliability, and compliance testingEvaluate system readiness for manufacturability and productionPartner with manufacturing to translate design requirements into scalable solutionsTroubleshoot system-level issues and support continuous improvement effortsSupport multiple small projects or tasks to meet program objectivesMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Technical field and at least 3 years of experience with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and designOR Master's degree and at least 1 year of experience with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and designPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamicsExperience in HVAC system design or related fieldKnowledge of material science and reliability engineering fundamentalsExperience with design of experiments and data analysis techniquesExperience with MATLAB, Modelica, or PythonCore CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and organizationAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teamsAdditional InformationThis role requires onsite presence in IndianapolisCandidates should be comfortable working with lab teams, technicians, and manufacturing partnersMust be permanent US Resident.Pay RangeThe annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually.
