    Description

    SUMMARYThe Systems Engineer designs, develops, supports, and maintains the organization's systems infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software. Makes updates to system related installation documentation. Performs end-user support. 

    Analyzes, develops, modifies, tests and maintains the system.

    ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS 

    The ability to obtain, maintain, and access classified information at the DoD Secret level.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

    Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

    Applies Systems of Systems Engineering (SoSE) and Product-Line Engineering (PLE) principles to ensure virtual logistics trainers are interoperable across the PM Force Projection portfolio.

    Manages the development of Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs) and shall perform requirements analysis for virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and cloud-based training solutions.

    Supports the Information Assurance (IA) team in navigating the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to ensure all virtual platforms maintain a valid Authority to Operate (ATO).

    Conducts oversight of contractor-performed testing, including Functional Configuration Audits (FCA) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCA), to ensure "as-built" systems meet Government specifications.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Requires aBachelor's degree and a minimum of three to ten (3-10) years related experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

    Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
