Fluids Systems Engineer –Part time
Location: Palmdale, CA / Edwards AFB, CA (time will be mostly at Edwards with some work done in Palmdale)
Duration: 9 –12 months (Possible extension )
Pay rate range: $70 –$ 73 /hr on w2 (All inclusive)
Part-time (minimum 20 hrs/week, with potential surge to full-time during flight test operations)

We are seeking two Fluids Systems Engineers to support the our client Quiet Super Sonic Technology (QueSST) program through ground test and flight test operations. One role will focus primarily on fuel systems, the other on hydraulic systems, though candidates with experience across both disciplines are strongly preferred.
What you'll do:
Support the design, analysis, integration, and troubleshooting of aircraft fuel and/or hydraulic systems.
Provide engineering support during ground test and flight test activities.
Review and disposition system anomalies and support real-time test operations as needed. Collaborate with integrated test teams across multiple disciplines and locations.
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline.
Direct experience with aircraft fuel systems, hydraulic systems, or both. Familiarity with fluid system components, schematics, and test procedures.
Preferred but not required:
Prior experience in a flight test environment, test lab, or flight test control room. Active security clearance (no clearance required for this program).
Experience on military or experimental aircraft programs.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline.
5+ years of Direct experience with either aircraft fuel systems or hydraulic systems (both is a plus)
5+ years of Experience with fluid system components, schematics, and test procedures.
Flight test and Control Room experience preferred.
Part-time position with a minimum of 20 hours/week, potential for hours to surge to full time hours.
Time will be mostly at Edwards with some work done in Palmdale.
