PGS Worldwide is seeking a Systems Engineer – Risk & Opportunity Management in Grand Prairie, Texas for a one-year hybrid contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support program risk and opportunity management while working closely with program leadership, systems engineering, requirements, and architecture teams.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another STEM discipline.
Experience managing program risk and opportunity activities.
3+ years of experience with DOORS.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Cameo.
Familiarity with systems engineering design concepts, architecture, and technical tradeoffs.
Experience maintaining technical or program-management databases and ensuring data accuracy.
Ability to work effectively with program managers, chief engineers, and technical leads.
Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
Ability and willingness to work onsite in a classified laboratory environment as required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; clearance is not required to start.
What You’ll Do
Own and maintain the program risk and opportunity management database.
Coordinate with the Program Manager, Chief Engineer, and program leads to ensure risks and opportunities remain current and accurately documented.
Support identification, assessment, tracking, and mitigation of program risks.
Support opportunity identification and associated program planning.
Use DOORS and Cameo to support systems requirements, architecture, and program-management activities.
Work with systems engineering teams to understand system-design decisions and technical tradeoffs.
Prepare and maintain risk and opportunity data for program reviews and leadership discussions.
Coordinate across technical and program organizations to ensure actions, status, and mitigation plans are properly tracked.
Support systems engineering and program execution activities as assigned.
Work Schedule / Shift
Hybrid position in Grand Prairie, Texas.
4/10 Flex schedule.
Typically 2 days onsite and 2 days remote per week.
Must be available to report onsite as program needs require.
Pay
$78.80 per hour.
Overtime eligible.
