Description:Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Systems Engineer with a focus in Navigation, Global Positioning System (GPS), and Alternative Positioning, Navigation & Timing (PNT). In this role, you will be performing engineering functions in support of system design, development, integration, production, and sustainment of industry leading navigation systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Electrical or Software Engineering or a related STEM discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Knowledgeable in systems engineering lifecycle, development, requirements decomposition, and application of processes and tools
  • Experience with CNI (Communications, Navigation & Identification) systems to include inertial navigation, GPS/SatNav, Alternative Positioning, Navigation & Timing (PNT) and other related avionics subsystems.
  • Knowledge of advanced navigation technologies, navigation sensors, filters and platform integration.
  • Experience with navigation and/or guidance navigation & control software algorithms and the tools used to complete them.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with design, development, and integration of advanced navigations systems
  • Experience developing airborne navigation software using Matlab, Python, C/C++. Airworthy flight code development experience is desired.
  • Experience using digital engineering workflows, tools and methods for system & software deployment
  • Experience presenting to senior leaders, program management, and external customers
  • Experience with Military and/or Government programs

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
