We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team designing, building, and testing electro-optic mechanical stabilized systems. The Systems Engineer will execute multiple aspects of the systems engineering discipline, to include:

• Requirements decomposition into software/hardware functions • System performance analysis and trade studies • Oversight of software/hardware development and system integration and test activities to ensure system requirements closure • Interaction with the development teams, production teams, program leadership, and customer regarding technical considerations, risks, and issue closure associated with our programs capabilities

This position will be based in our Tucson, AZ office and is classified as a full-time, exempt, non-supervisory position.

Experiences and Background We Look For (Required Skills):

• Eligible to obtain and hold a Secret clearance • Hands-on knowledge for precision assemblies and testing of hardware • Developed detailed test plans and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and resources are available • Created and maintained detailed documentation of system configurations, architectures, and troubleshooting procedures • Candidate will be responsible for: • Requirements derivation, requirement traceability, systems integration & test, performance verification • Coordinate and conduct system integration testing to ensure compatibility and performance • Document findings, generate test reports, and present results to stakeholders • Presenting engineering material in life-cycled design reviews • Support test events at multiple test events sites • Candidate will be responsible for Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design • Candidate will play an active role in troubleshooting system-level failures among a diverse team of engineers and technicians • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components into a cohesive system • Support test events at multiple test events sites • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field • 9+ years of experience with BS/BA • 7+ years of experience with MS/MA • 4+ years of experience with PhD

Nice to Have (Preferred Skills):

• Jama for Requirements and Test Management • Ability to write scripts for test automation and data analysis • Experience with project management methodologies and tools like Agile, Scrum • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as MIL-STD, MIL-HDBK, ISO, ASME

The annual salary range for this role is $120,000 to $165,000; however, Areté considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
