Job Description

Overview:

Stellar Solutions, a nationally recognized “Great Place To Work,” delivers engineering solutions across commercial space and national security missions—from innovative new entrants to established space systems organizations.

We bring talented, energetic, and immediately productive professionals to meet critical customer needs in systems engineering and integration, mission operations, program management, and strategic planning—helping teams deliver resilient capability to the mission with speed, quality, and focus.

Stellar Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineering Acquisition Logistics Specialist to support the development and rapid deployment of next-generation Environmental Monitoring (EM) capabilities for a Government customer. This hybrid systems engineering and acquisition logistics role supports integration of space and ground systems while helping shape life cycle and sustainment policies, processes, and documentation. The position works across engineering, logistics, acquisition, financial, and program disciplines to help ensure remote sensing capabilities are integrated, supportable, and aligned with DoD guidance.

Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications:

The Systems Engineering Acquisition Logistics Specialist will support system integration activities across the system-of-systems, system, segment, and element levels while also contributing to acquisition logistics and sustainment planning. The role requires the ability to work independently, evaluate complex technical and policy documentation, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to improve integration, life cycle management, and sustainment approaches. This position supports mission-focused delivery of remote sensing capabilities to operational users.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute system integration plans for space and ground systems supporting Environmental Monitoring missions.
  • Lead and support integration activities at the system-of-systems, system, segment, and element levels.
  • Evaluate system integration risks and develop mitigation approaches that support successful program execution.
  • Analyze system integration test activities and results to identify technical issues, dependencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Support subsystem hardware and software alignment across integrated system architectures.
  • Support configuration change control activities and maintain alignment across evolving technical baselines.
  • Evaluate, redesign, and author system life cycle and sustainment policies, processes, and documentation.
  • Apply DoD acquisition guidance to life cycle planning, sustainment documentation, and acquisition logistics activities.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, financial managers, systems engineers, logisticians, and other stakeholders to align sustainment and life cycle approaches.
  • Research emerging requirements, technologies, threats, policies, and integration methodologies relevant to remote sensing systems.
  • Support acquisition planning, sustainment infrastructure planning, and organizational planning for defense acquisition programs.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience with space-based program integration, systems engineering, and logistics planning for Major Defense Acquisition Programs.
  • Experience with DoD acquisition program management, acquisition planning, sustainment infrastructure, and organizational planning.
  • Experience with subsystem hardware or software alignment.
  • Experience with system integration risk mitigation.
  • Experience with system integration test analysis.
  • Experience with configuration change control.
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience developing Test Readiness Review packages.
  • Experience with remote sensing systems.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering.
  • Knowledge of NASA or NOAA systems engineering processes.
  • Knowledge of the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook.
  • Knowledge of IEEE 15288 standards.
  • Master’s degree in STEM.
  • PMP certification.
  • CSEP or ESEP certification.
