You will build professional and technical skills in an aerospace systems & defense role while working on challenging, real‑world problems to design aerospace systems for commercial and military applications and support them through their service life. You'll also build relationships with peers and leaders and prepare for a potential full‑time position after graduation in one of our leadership programs or a direct hire opportunity.Essential ResponsibilitiesAn Aerospace Systems & Defense intern/co‑op may work on the development of engine controls, navigation & guidance systems, gas turbine engine components, electrical power systems, mechanical systems, vehicle health & data management systems, mission systems, computing systems, and platform systems integration. Responsibilities may include design, analysis, development, testing, writing software requirements, software testing, simulation, tool development, and product/program support.QualificationsGE Aerospace intern experience required.US Citizenship required.Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale without rounding.Enrolled full‑time in a nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program in engineering (Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science).Willingness and ability to work in the United States; primary locations are Grand Rapids, MI and Clearwater, FL.Reliable transportation; many sites do not have public transportation available.Eligibility RequirementsAny offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
