Job Description

We are seeking a Systems Engineering Tool Integration Engineer to design, develop, and maintain integrations across the engineering tool ecosystem supporting complex defense programs. This role is responsible for enabling end-to-end traceability, automated data exchange, workflow orchestration, and reporting across systems engineering, requirements management, software development, and configuration management platforms.
The ideal candidate has experience integrating tools such as JIRA, IBM DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, GitLab, and related engineering platforms using APIs, automation frameworks, and modern integration technologies.

Must have an active and transferable DoD Secret security clearance .
Required Education and Skills:

• Active and transferable DoD security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience integrating engineering and development tools within a systems engineering, software development, or defense environment.
• Strong understanding of:
• REST and SOAP APIs
• Data integration and synchronization
• Requirements management and traceability
• Systems engineering and software development lifecycles
• Experience developing automation scripts and workflows using languages such as Python, Java, Groovy, or similar.
• Experience working with one or more of the following:
• Atlassian JIRA
• IBM DOORS / DOORS Next
• Cameo Systems Modeler / MagicDraw
• GitLab
• Configuration Management and DevSecOps toolsets
• Ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues across multiple platforms and stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with engineers, architects, program leadership, and customers.

Job Duties:

• Analyze engineering tool environments and define integration requirements that support systems engineering, software development, testing, and configuration management processes.
• Design, develop, and maintain bi-directional integrations between tools including JIRA, IBM DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, GitLab, and related platforms.
• Develop APIs, middleware solutions, and automated workflows to enable seamless data exchange and traceability.
• Create automated synchronization processes for requirements, models, defects, change requests, and development artifacts.
• Generate and maintain traceability reporting across the engineering lifecycle.
• Perform integration testing, validation, performance tuning, and continuous monitoring of toolchain solutions.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Configuration Management, Quality Assurance, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with program requirements and security standards.
• Develop technical documentation, user guides, and training materials supporting integrated engineering workflows.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, efficiency, and data quality across the engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DoD, Aerospace, Defense, or classified development programs.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps environments.
• Experience with containerized deployment technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with digital engineering frameworks and model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
• Atlassian, IBM DOORS, Cameo, or related tool certifications.
• Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements, information assurance standards, and secure data handling practices.
• Experience supporting Digital Engineering initiatives and integrated toolchain modernization efforts.
